“Conflicted” is a book of short stories written by Henry F. Shemmer 50 years ago. As co-author I roamed through a collection of handwritten pages (that were not numbered) with faded ink that in many cases were unreadable. It took me eight months to put the stories together and in some cases to finish stories in "his voice". If you read the preface about why he wanted to be a writer you’ll be surprised, as I was, that in spite of his business success he hated what he was doing. He felt depressed and unfulfilled so he took a Famous Writers Correspondence course. It was his dream to be a published author and now he is. My personal story appears as the last chapter. |
